Jungle Jims, friends, and a little puke.

What a fun day(sort of). Eli and I went to Jungle Jims with a couple of my awesome friends from high school and thier kids. That place is actually pretty fun, but man those rides go fast for little kids. We hopped on the first ride with the kids-the carousal. Carousals are mild right? Not this one. This one was a little too fast for me-it made me a little queezy. After that we decided the kids can ride the rides by themselves.
After the kids had two funfilled hours of rides and spinning. We were watching Eli and little Will on the tops (I believe that is what they are called) and were saying "I think this is the last ride. Look how tired they are". So we decided we would go home after this ride was over.

Eli especially looked really tired with his heavy eye lids and his bobbing head. Then I look away for a minute, and my friend says "Oh, I think Eli is sick." Well when he comes around again I see they are stopping the ride, and sure enough there is my son with puke all over him. Lets just say that was a moment I didn't want to claim him. I think the heavy eyelids and the bobbing head were more of a sign that his Honey Bunches of Oats were on thier way back up. (poor Will will probably never want to ride on another ride with Eli again).

Right before the big spew!
So needless to say that really was the last ride of the day. (Probably for everyone on that ride). Eli obviously, unfortunately got his Daddy's gene of getting easily sick on rides that spin. ( Ryan has puked in front of me after spinny ride when we were dating. Now there is a blog post for another day).

Anyway, if you ever go to Jungle Jim's, and you want to ride the tops, I don't recommend you sit in any of the yellow ones. :)

Lessley....I'm so glad you posted again!! I missed you!! Poor Eli. I hate spinning rides, too. I always loved them, until after I had Matthew. I had to make them stop a ride once at one of those places 'cause it was seriously making me ILL. So...I feel his pain. ;o) At least you got to hang out with your friends for a while! Next time you'll just have to take Eli to McDonald's and let him play there. He'll probably be a lot happier, huh?? I hope you have a great weekend!! It was fun to see you the other day!!

Yikes! Anyway, good to have you back, you've been gone forever, I was getting worried.

Good to see you post again! I threw up once on the tilt a whirl at a fair. I was in junior high and it was so embarrassing. I don't know why I got sick, I never do. My big tough brother, on the other hand, can't even ride in the back seat of a car. And my husband has to take dramamine any time he's planning on riding a wild ride. Glad you got to have some fun before the incident.

I know what you are saying about Jungle Jims. When we first took Ellie (she was 3), I couldn't believe they'd allow little kids on those rides. Last time I went, (Ellie was six) things were a little for her. Landon wasn't big enough for any of the rides, and I'm glad. Just watching them makes me kind of sick.

I am so sorry. That is the worst. I have cleaned up puke many times in public, just not at an amusement park (yet). Poor little guy. Hope you had fun while it lasted.

I saw your post on this and was already thinking of taking Ashlyn there at some point. Jared mentioned it while we were in Phoenix last time. Anyways... we went to SLC on Sun/Mon and took her there. She loved it. I can't believe how fast the roller coaster went...but she LOVED it! No puking for her though...we ate breakfast and ran around for a while THEN went there...just to be safe! LOL! I have pics of it on our myspace page.
